Holy Saturday: The Easter Vigil Mass of the Resurrection of the Lord
Gospel: Matthew 28:1-10

Today is Holy Saturday. In accordance with the tradition of the Church, this evening the Church will read seven scriptural passages, an epistle of Saint Paul the Apostle, and the narrative from Saint Matthew’s Gospel describing Jesus’ encounter with Mary Magdalene and the other Mary after His resurrection. I wish to offer some reflections here.
Today, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary, following Jesus’ death, mourned Him in a way they deemed appropriate (cf. Mt 28:1-4). For they desired more time to accompany Jesus and keep watch over Him at His tomb. This is similar to what we do: often, when grieving the death of loved ones, we go to their graves afterward to pay tribute in a manner we find fitting, recalling fragments of our life shared with them. For like them, we too view life and death according to the world’s perspective on existence.
Saint Matthew tells us that the angel said to the women who came early to Jesus’ tomb: “Come and see the place where He was laid. Go quickly and tell His disciples: ‘He has been raised from the dead, and He has gone before you to Galilee; there you will see Him.’ Behold, I have told you” (Mt 28:7). These words are also spoken to each one of us. We who have received the baptism of Christ and the anointing of the Holy Spirit in the full communion of the Most Holy Trinity are called to proclaim the peace and joy of the Gospel to all who do not yet know Christ—to those living under the shadow of darkness and death due to sin. May they, like us, receive forgiveness of original sin through the same baptism and the same Holy Spirit, share in Christ’s kingship, priesthood, and prophetic office, and jointly inherit the kingdom of heaven.
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ! Tomorrow, we will enter into the Octave of the Resurrection of the Lord. Let us therefore offer a prayer to God together:

O God, who make this most sacred night radiant with the glory of the Lord’s Resurrection, stir up in your Church a spirit of adoption, so that, renewed in body and mind, we may render you undivided service. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.

福音：若18:1-19:42

我們的主，天主，耶穌基督，祂在被捕的那天晚上，曾向那些前來逮捕祂的差役，以及所有在場的，祂的門徒和群眾，宣示祂就是眾人尋找的基督。（參看：若18:1-11）這便是給我們每一位藉著領受基督的聖洗，在祂的聖肋之水中洗淨自己的原罪的人，立了榜樣。由於人性的軟弱，使得有時，我們不敢在眾人面前承認自己的信仰，如同西滿伯多祿那樣（參看：若18:15-27），表面上，我們是一個虔誠的基督徒，但當我們在生活中，需要為所相信的一切，提供證詞時，我們便會選擇退縮。因為我們的心中，懼怕因我們在世人面前，勇敢宣認了信仰之後，這個世界也許會如同當年逮捕耶穌的司祭長，以及法利塞人一樣，按照他們的行徑，阻止我們獲得屬於自己的一切。事實上，我們在領受基督的聖洗以後，就是藉著所領受的基督的聖洗，在基督內重獲新生，並在祂內開始新的生活，因此，屬於這個世界的一切，並不妨礙我們走向成聖。

我們的主，天主，耶穌基督，以祂的堅忍，為祂所傳的福音，作了崇高的見證。當祂被本國的同胞所棄絕時，祂仍選擇相信那派遣祂來者。（參看：若19:12-15）那派遣祂來到世界的，就是創造和宰製萬有的天父，那創造和宰製萬有的天父，為了將我們由罪惡及死亡中解救出來，不惜將祂的聖子，作為我們所犯的一切罪過的贖價。當祂背著十字架，走向哥耳哥達時，根據聖傳的教導，祂曾多次跌倒，但祂仍勇敢地走向祂的死亡，為的是以祂的死亡，為我們換得永生。

我們的主，天主，耶穌基督，以祂的無限慈愛，將祂自己完全給了我們，使我們能在每日舉行的彌撒聖祭中，藉著領受祂的聖體，以及祂的聖血，獲得豐厚的滋養。當祂被釘在十字架上時，竟身無一物，那些看守祂的兵士，分了祂的衣服。（參看：若19:23-25）為的是教訓我們：屬於這個世界的一切，並不能使我們獲得永生，幾時我們如同耶穌一樣，面對死亡時，屬於這個世界的一切，並不會使我們的生命得到延緩。聖保祿曾為此作證說：“隨從肉性的人，切望肉性的事；隨從聖神的人，切望聖神的事；隨肉性的切望，導入死亡；隨聖神的切望，導入生命與平安。”（參看：羅8:5-6）因此，倘若我們隨從肉性的妄動，切望肉性所切望的事，我們的結局便是死亡，但如果我們切望天主聖神願意我們切望的，我們的結局便是永生。

我們的主，天主，耶穌基督，以祂的無限慈愛，將祂的母親賞賜給我們，作我們的中保，當祂被釘在十字架上時，祂對站在十字架下的母親說：“女人，看，妳的兒子！”然後，又對那門徒說：“看，你的母親！”(參看：若19:25-27) 這是如此浩大的恩情！基督為我們所犯的一切罪惡，受十字架的苦刑，我們本不該得到祂的憐憫，但祂卻將祂的母親賞賜給我們，使我們能透過聖母的轉禱，獲得豐厚的恩寵。

我們的主，天主，耶穌基督，當祂被釘在十字架上時，祂曾說：“我渴。”為使經上指向祂的一切應驗。當祂一嘗那醋之後，便說：“完成了。”就低下頭，交付了靈魂。（參看：若19:28-30）由此，祂便宰製了死亡，祂以自己的死亡，為我們戰勝了死亡，好使我們能藉著祂在十字架上，為愛我們，由祂的聖肋之中流出的血水（參看：若19:31-35）徹底擺脫由罪惡帶給我們的死亡，藉水和聖神，在祂內，重獲新生。

天主，祢藉祢的子，我們的主基督的苦難，廢除了自古以來，世世代代承繼相傳的死罪，我們按本性的法則，受生於屬世之人的肖像，求祢使我們相似於祂的肖像，好使我們藉恩寵的聖化，承受屬天之人的肖像。藉著祢的子，我們的主耶穌基督，祢和祂及聖神，是天主，永生永王。亞孟。

Good Friday of the Lord’s Passion
Gospel: John 18:1–19:42

Today is Good Friday, when the Church commemorates the Lord’s Passion. The narrative from St. John’s Gospel presents a panoramic view of Jesus’ passion. I would like to offer some reflections.

Our Lord, God, Jesus Christ, on the night of His arrest, revealed to the officers who came to seize Him, and to all present—His disciples and the crowd—that He is the Christ they seek (cf. Jn 18:1-11). This sets an example for each of us baptized into Christ, cleansed of original sin in the waters of His side. Due to human weakness, we sometimes fear to profess our faith publicly, as Simon Peter did (cf. Jn 18:15-27). Outwardly, we may appear devout, but when called to testify to what we believe, we shrink back, fearing the world might treat us as the chief priests and Pharisees who arrested Jesus, seeking to deprive us of what is ours. In truth, by Baptism, we are reborn in Christ, beginning a new life in Him. Thus, the things of this world do not hinder our path to holiness.

Our Lord, God, Jesus Christ, even in the face of an unjust trial, boldly testified to the truth, that the world might know the reality of the Kingdom through His witness (cf. Jn 18:28-40). When we suffer injustice, especially for our faith—like Christ, mocked by others (cf. Jn 19:1-7)—we must imitate Him, testifying to the truth so that others may see in us the wondrous work of God. As Jesus said to Pilate, “You would have no power over me if it had not been given to you from above. Therefore, the one who handed me over to you bears a greater sin” (Jn 19:11). This means that if we fail to use God’s graces as He wills, to do His holy will in all things, we will face the judgment written in Scripture when we stand before God, and our end will be perdition.

Our Lord, God, Jesus Christ, with steadfastness, gave a sublime testimony to the Gospel. Rejected by His own people, He still trusted in the One who sent Him (cf. Jn 19:12-15). The One who sent Him is the Father, Creator and Ruler of all, who gave His Son as a ransom for all our sins to free us from sin and death. As He carried the Cross to Golgotha, tradition teaches He fell many times, yet He pressed on courageously to His death, that by His death, we might gain eternal life.

Our Lord, God, Jesus Christ, in His infinite love, gave Himself completely to us, nourishing us richly in the Eucharistic sacrifice, where we receive His Body and Blood. Nailed to the Cross, He was stripped of all, His clothes divided by the soldiers (cf. Jn 19:23-25), teaching us that the things of this world cannot give us eternal life. When we face death, as Jesus did, worldly goods will not prolong our lives. St. Paul bore witness: “Those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh; but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. To set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace” (cf. Rom 8:5-6). Thus, if we follow the desires of the flesh, we end in death; if we desire what the Holy Spirit desires, we end in eternal life.
Our Lord, God, Jesus Christ, in His infinite love, gave us His Mother as our Mediatrix. From the Cross, He said to His mother standing below, “Woman, behold, your son,” and to the disciple, “Behold, your mother” (cf. Jn 19:25-27). What a great gift! We, who deserved no mercy for our sins, for which He suffered the Cross, received His Mother, that through her intercession, we might obtain abundant graces.

Our Lord, God, Jesus Christ, nailed to the Cross, said, “I thirst,” to fulfill all that was written of Him. After tasting the vinegar, He said, “It is finished,” and bowed His head, giving up His spirit (cf. Jn 19:28-30). Thus, He conquered death, and by His death, He won victory over death for us, that we might be freed from the death brought by sin through the blood and water flowing from His side (cf. Jn 19:31-35), and reborn in Him by water and the Holy Spirit.

O God, who by the Passion of Christ your Son, our Lord, abolished the death inherited from ancient sin by every succeeding generation, grant that just as, being conformed to him, we have borne by the law of nature the image of the man of earth, so by the sanctification of grace we may bear the image of the Man of heaven.Through Christ our Lord.

聖周星期四 主的晚餐
福音：若13:1-15

今天是聖周星期四。按照教會傳統，晚上，聖教會的司鐸們回到堂區，為在信仰上託付給他照料的羊群舉行主的晚餐彌撒，並效法善牧基督，給堂區的信友洗腳。

主的晚餐彌撒福音取自聖若望記載：耶穌和祂的門徒一起吃逾越節晚餐的時候，祂與門徒們的對話，以及祂給門徒洗腳的敘事。我願意藉此機會提供一些反思。

當我們開始讀這段經文的時候，我們會感覺很難以接受。在我們看來，我們的主耶穌基督，祂是至高無上的天主子。但是，祂今天給自己的門徒洗腳。這是多麼大的愛！造物主給受造物洗腳！更讓我們難以接受的是：伯多祿對耶穌說：“祢永遠不可給我洗腳！”實在是令人驚歎！

富於仁慈的主耶穌，祂在受難以前，與自己的門徒共進最後晚餐的時候，祂給自己的門徒留下的，不只是祂的聖體聖血，按照耶穌的話來說，就是：“這是為你們而舍的我的身體。你們應當這樣做，為紀念我 ……這是用我的血所立的新約，你們每次喝這杯時，應當這樣做，為紀念我。”更是祂愛的誡命，按照耶穌的話來說，就是：“我是主子和老師，應當給你們洗腳，你們也該同樣彼此洗腳。我給你們立了榜樣，你們也該照我所做的去做。”這就是耶穌留給我們眾人的命令，祂要求我們彼此相愛。

在此逾越三日慶典的第一天，讓我們同心合意，一起向天主獻上祈禱：

天主，祢召叫我們參與這至聖晚餐，在這個晚餐，祢的聖子即將把自己交於死亡之際，把這新而永久的祭獻，祂愛的盛筵託付給教會。求祢恩准我們從如此偉大的奧跡中汲取圓滿的愛德和生命。藉著祢的子，我們的主耶穌基督，祢和祂及聖神，是天主，永生永王。亞孟。

Holy Thursday – Mass of the Lord’s Supper
Gospel: John 13:1-15

Today is Holy Thursday. In accordance with the Church’s tradition, in the evening, priests return to their parishes to celebrate the Mass of the Lord’s Supper for the faithful entrusted to their care, imitating the Good Shepherd, Christ, by washing the feet of the parishioners.
The Gospel reading for the Mass of the Lord’s Supper is taken from St. John’s account of Jesus’ dialogue with His disciples and His washing of their feet during the Paschal supper. I would like to offer some reflections here.
When we first read this passage, it can be hard to accept. In our eyes, our Lord Jesus Christ is the Most High Son of God. Yet today, He washes the feet of His own disciples. What great love! The Creator washing the feet of the creature! Even more astonishing is Peter’s response: “You will never wash my feet!”

The merciful Lord Jesus, before His passion, left His disciples at the Last Supper not only with His Body and Blood—as He said, “This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in memory of me… This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in memory of me”—but also with the commandment of love. As He said, “I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet. You also ought to wash one another’s feet. I have set you an example, that you also should do as I have done to you.” This is the command Jesus gives to all of us: to love one another.
On this first day of the Triduum Sacrum, let us unite in prayer to God:

O God, who have called us to participate in this most sacred Supper, in which your Only Begotten Son, when about to hand himself over to death, entrusted to the Church a sacrifice new for all eternity, the banquet of his love, grant, we pray, that we may draw from so great a mystery, the fullness of charity and of life. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever

聖周星期四 聖油彌撒
福音：路4:16-21

今天是聖周星期四。按照教會的傳統，我們敬愛的教宗以及在聖座的神長們會舉行共祭彌撒，祝聖羅馬教區的病人聖油，聖洗聖油，堅振聖油。同樣，我們教區的主教也會和屬於他們的司鐸，也會在當台彌撒祝聖本禮儀年的病人聖油，聖洗聖油，堅振聖油。

聖油彌撒的福音經文取自聖路加所載：耶穌回到納匝肋會堂，祂在那裡宣告祂默西亞的使命的記載。我願意借此機會，提供一些反思。

如果我們留意依撒意亞先知書中，有關於默西亞的預言，就會發現，依撒意亞指出，默西亞要向四類人群宣講天主聖言。就是卑微的人，心靈破碎的人，俘虜，監獄中的犯人。那些卑微的人，不只是那些身份低微的人，更是因各種原因，被人排擠和被邊緣化的人。那些心靈破碎的人，不只是那些因世俗生活的瑣碎小事感到難受，感到痛苦的人，而是因為自己所犯的罪過，使那寓居在人心中的聖神感到憂鬱的人。那些俘虜，不只是在戰場上被敵軍俘獲的人，更是指那些因為人性的軟弱，使自己的靈魂被魔鬼俘獲的人。那些在監獄中的犯人，不只是因違犯世人訂立的法律，使自己失去自由的人，更是指因為罪惡的緣故，使自己的靈魂失去自由，無法再接近天主的人。

今天，我們的主耶穌基督在自己家鄉的會堂宣告：上主的神臨於我身，因上主給我傅了油；祂派遣我向卑微的人傳報喜訊，醫治破碎的心靈，向俘虜宣佈自由，並釋放獄中的犯人，宣佈上主恩慈的禧年。（參看：路4:18-19）祂不僅明認自己的使命，更以自己所做的一切，踐行祂作為天主的默西亞的使命。我們的教宗和與他共融的神長們，他們忠誠遵行吾主耶穌基督的教導，相稱牧養天主託付給他們照料的羊群。他們和我們一樣，都是有血有肉的人，他們和我們一樣，也會經驗到各種困苦和考驗。因此，讓我們為所有神長獻上祈禱：

天主，祢曾以聖神給祢的唯一聖子傅油，立祂作為基督和主，求祢恩賜我們有份於祂的祭獻，好使我們在世上為贖世主作證。藉著祢的子，我們的主耶穌基督，祢和祂及聖神，是天主，永生永王。亞孟。

圣周星期四 圣油弥撒
福音：路4:16-21

今天是圣周星期四。按照教会的传统，我们敬爱的教宗以及在圣座的神长们会举行共祭弥撒，祝圣罗马教区的病人圣油，圣洗圣油，坚振圣油。同样，我们教区的主教也会和属于他们的司铎，也会在当台弥撒祝圣本礼仪年的病人圣油，圣洗圣油，坚振圣油。

圣油弥撒的福音经文取自圣路加所载：耶稣回到纳匝肋会堂，祂在那里宣告祂默西亚的使命的记载。我愿意借此机会，提供一些反思。

如果我们留意依撒意亚先知书中，有关于默西亚的预言，就会发现，依撒意亚指出，默西亚要向四类人群宣讲天主圣言。就是卑微的人，心灵破碎的人，俘虏，监狱中的犯人。那些卑微的人，不只是那些身份低微的人，更是因各种原因，被人排挤和被边缘化的人。那些心灵破碎的人，不只是那些因世俗生活的琐碎小事感到难受，感到痛苦的人，而是因为自己所犯的罪过，使那寓居在人心中的圣神感到忧郁的人。那些俘虏，不只是在战场上被敌军俘获的人，更是指那些因为人性的软弱，使自己的灵魂被魔鬼俘获的人。那些在监狱中的犯人，不只是因违犯世人订立的法律，使自己失去自由的人，更是指因为罪恶的缘故，使自己的灵魂失去自由，无法再接近天主的人。

今天，我们的主耶稣基督在自己家乡的会堂宣告：上主的神临于我身，因上主给我傅了油；祂派遣我向卑微的人传报喜讯，医治破碎的心灵，向俘虏宣布自由，并释放狱中的犯人，宣布上主恩慈的禧年。（参看：路4:18-19）祂不仅明认自己的使命，更以自己所做的一切，践行祂作为天主的默西亚的使命。我们的教宗和与他共融的神长们，他们忠诚遵行吾主耶稣基督的教导，相称牧养天主托付给他们照料的羊群。他们和我们一样，都是有血有肉的人，他们和我们一样，也会经验到各种困苦和考验。因此，让我们为所有神长献上祈祷：

天主，祢曾以圣神给祢的唯一圣子傅油，立祂作为基督和主，求祢恩赐我们有份于祂的祭献，好使我们在世上为赎世主作证。藉着祢的子，我们的主耶稣基督，祢和祂及圣神，是天主，永生永王。亚孟。

Holy Thursday – Chrism Mass
Gospel: Luke 4:16-21

Today is Holy Thursday. In accordance with the Church’s tradition, our beloved Holy Father and the clergy of the Holy See will celebrate a concelebrated Mass to bless the Oil of the Sick, the Oil of Catechumens, and the Sacred Chrism for the Diocese of Rome. Similarly, our diocesan bishop, together with the priests under his care, will bless these same oils for the current liturgical year during the Mass celebrated in his cathedral.

The Gospel reading for the Chrism Mass is taken from St. Luke’s account of Jesus returning to the synagogue in Nazareth, where He proclaims His messianic mission. I would like to offer some reflections on this passage.
If we attend to the prophecies about the Messiah in the Book of the Prophet Isaiah, we find that Isaiah indicates the Messiah is to proclaim God’s word to four groups of people: the poor, those with broken hearts, captives, and prisoners. The “poor” are not merely those of lowly status but also those marginalized and excluded for various reasons. Those with “broken hearts” are not just those distressed by trivialities of worldly life but those whose sins have grieved the Holy Spirit dwelling within them. The “captives” are not only those taken prisoner in battle but those whose souls are held captive by the devil due to human weakness. The “prisoners” are not merely those deprived of freedom by violating human laws but those whose souls are enslaved by sin, unable to draw near to God.

Today, our Lord Jesus Christ declares in His hometown synagogue: “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me; therefore He has anointed me. He has sent me to bring glad tidings to the poor, to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to captives and release to prisoners, to announce a year of favor from the Lord” (cf. Lk 4:18-19). He not only acknowledges His mission but fulfills it through all He does as the Messiah, the Son of God. Our Holy Father and the clergy in communion with him faithfully follow the teaching of our Lord Jesus Christ, shepherding worthily the flock entrusted to their care by God. Like us, they are flesh and blood, experiencing trials and hardships. Let us, therefore, offer a prayer for all clergy:

O God, who anointed your Only Begotten Son with the Holy Spirit and made him Christ and Lord, graciously grant that, being made sharers in his consecration, we may bear witness to your Redemption in the world. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever
