Monday of the Twelfth Week in Ordinary Time
Matthew 7: 1-5
It’s easier to destroy than to build

“Do not judge, so that you may not be judged” (Mt 7:1). With these words, Jesus invites us to tread lightly, to walk humbly, and to love deeply. Because truthfully, it is easier to destroy than to build.

Judging without mercy wounds deeply: How much harm we cause when we judge others recklessly! Harsh words, quick condemnations — they can tear down what took years to build: a friendship, a family bond, a community. I, too, have felt the sting of being judged unfairly, and I’ve also judged others in ways I regret. If we forget charity when we speak or act, we risk destroying not only others but ourselves. Before judging, we must ask: will this help or will it harm?

Look within: Jesus says: “Why do you see the speck in your brother’s eye, but not the log in your own?” It is a powerful image — because it is so true. How often do we criticise others while ignoring our own faults? Some sins are visible, others are hidden, but all of us are sinners in need of mercy. In God’s family, there are no first-class or second-class Christians. We are all children of the same Father, and we must look at one another with the same compassion with which He sees us.

Your brother matters: Christian life is not lived alone. God places people around us so that we may grow in love. Helping our brother, we help ourselves; judging him, we condemn ourselves. Every person is an opportunity to grow in grace. Every brother or sister is a sacred gift.
Let us then build, not destroy. Let us forgive, not accuse. Let us love, as Christ loves us.

吃了，就能得到飽飫

今天，我們慶祝基督聖體聖血節，這是基督聖體聖血的盛大慶節，聖體不只是供我們朝拜的物件，更是能使我們得到飽飫的食糧，仁慈的耶穌基督，藉此與我們同行。

在福音經文中，耶穌遇到一群又累又餓的人。祂沒有打發他們離開。祂接納他們，與他們交談，醫治他們，並使他們得到飽飫。祂用五個餅和兩條魚，滿足了五千人的需要。祂這樣做，並不是為了炫耀自己，而是在靜默中，經由門徒們的手進行。這就是聖體聖事。它不喧嚷，而是滋養我們。它在我們所在的地方，與我們相遇，潛移默化地改變我們的內心。

“他們吃了，都吃飽了。”每次舉行聖體聖事，這兩個動作，給我們帶來恩典：我們吃，我們吃飽了。我們帶著疲憊，饑餓的身體來赴聖筵，渴望得到食糧，渴求希望，渴望被愛。耶穌並沒有給我們什麼；祂把自己賜給我們。祂成了我們的食糧，我們的力量，我們的喜樂。

這個食糧從來不是為給我們自己準備的。耶穌告訴門徒說：“你們給他們東西吃吧。”每次舉行聖體聖事的時候，救主都會對我們說相同的話。如果我們真正朝拜基督的聖體，我們就會意識到：我們服務我們的兄弟姐妹，尤其服務窮人，孤獨的人，渴望得到愛的人，就是事奉聖體。

聖體聖事離我們並不遙遠。這使我們的鬥爭變得有意義，是在我們的疲勞中閃出火花的來源。祂是我們的食糧。祂使我們得到飽飫。

聖母瑪利亞是聖體聖事之母，讓我們向她懇求，求她教導我們如何朝拜，如何領受，如何分享基督的聖體聖血。

The Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ
Luke 9: 11b-17
To Eat and Be Satisfied

Today we celebrate the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, the great feast of the Eucharist — not just as a mystery to be adored, but as food that satisfies, as the loving presence of Jesus who walks with us.

In the Gospel, Jesus meets a tired and hungry crowd. He does not send them away. He welcomes them, speaks to them, heals them — and then feeds them. With just five loaves and two fish, he satisfies thousands. And he does it not with spectacle, but in silence, through the hands of his disciples. This is the Eucharist. It does not shout; it nourishes. It meets us where we are and quietly transforms us from within.

“They all ate and were satisfied.” These are the two movements of grace in every Eucharist: we eat, and we are satisfied. We come to the table with our weariness, our hunger — for food, for hope, for love. Jesus does not only give us something; he gives us himself. He becomes our bread, our strength, our joy.

But this Bread is never just for ourselves. Jesus tells the disciples: “You give them something to eat.” In every Eucharist, the Lord is saying the same to us. If we truly adore the Body of Christ, we will recognise and serve that same Body in our brothers and sisters, especially the poor, the lonely, the hungry for love.

The Eucharist is not distant from our daily life. It is the source of meaning in our struggles and the spark of joy in our fatigue. He is our Bread. He is our satisfaction.

Let us ask Mary, Woman of the Eucharist, to teach us to adore, to receive, and to share.

你不可事奉兩個主人

耶穌極其明確地告訴我們：“沒有人能事奉兩個主人 …… 你們不能事奉天主和財富。”（參看：瑪6:24）這些都是很強烈的言辭，而不是建議。耶穌邀請我們作出選擇：我們要為誰服務，是去服務生命之主，還是去服務那財富和憂慮給我們帶來的虛幻的安全感？

如果想要理解這話，就要去想撒種者的比喻。那落在荊棘中的種子，被“財富和世俗的憂慮”扼殺（參看：瑪13:22）這些並不是那些對我們無害的干擾，相反，它們扼殺了天主在我們心中播下的聖言。它們扭曲了我們的心，使我們對生活感到困惑，並使我們的生活變得沒有過去和未來。

可是，我們確實如此。我們的生活，我們的信仰，基於這三個支柱：選擇，許諾和契約。天主人揀選了我們。祂按照我們的名字呼喚我們。是祂先愛了我們。祂許給我們：一個充滿希望的未來，和祂在一起的永生。現在，祂邀請我們與祂訂立一個盟約：充滿信賴和愛的生活關系。

可是，財富和憂慮會使我們與這個故事隔絕。當我們執著于財富，被憂慮吞噬的時候，我們忘記了過去，忘記了天主揀選了我們，我們看不見未來，無法理解祂要賜給我們的喜樂。我們生活在一個虛幻的當下，反反復複，沒有根，也沒有希望。

然而，救主提醒我們：“不要擔心 …… 你們的天父知道你們的需要。”（參看：瑪6:31-32）我們不是孤兒。我們有天父。讓我們不要讓財富和憂慮從我們心中偷走真理。

讓我們前行，讓我們記得：我們過去在天主內，相信祂的恩許，今世平安生活。我們不能事奉兩個主人，我們只能滿懷喜樂事奉那永遠愛我們的天主。

Matthew 6:24-34
You cannot serve two masters

Jesus tells us with great clarity: “No one can serve two masters… You cannot serve God and mammon” (Mt 6:24). These are strong words, not suggestions. They are an invitation to choose: whom do we serve — the Lord of life, or the illusion of security that wealth and worry promise?
To understand this, think of the parable of the sower. The seed that falls among thorns is choked by “riches and worldly concerns” (Mt 13:22). These are not harmless distractions — they suffocate God’s Word in us. They twist our hearts, confuse our lives, and make us live as if we have no past and no future.

But we do. Our life, our faith, stands on three pillars: choice, promise, and covenant. God has chosen us. He called us by name, He loved us first. He has made us a promise — a future filled with hope, eternal life with Him. And now, in the present, He invites us into a covenant: a living relationship of trust and love.

But wealth and worry can cut us off from this story. When we cling to riches or are consumed by anxiety, we forget the past — that God has chosen us — and we lose sight of the future — that He has promised us joy. We live trapped in a false present, running in circles, without roots or hope.

The Lord, however, reminds us: “Do not worry… Your heavenly Father knows what you need” (Mt 6:31–32). We are not orphans. We have a Father. Let us not allow riches and worries to steal that truth from our hearts.

Let us walk forward, remembering our past in God, trusting in His promise, and living today with peace. We cannot serve two masters — but we can joyfully serve the One who never stops loving us.

今天，耶穌明確，滿懷柔情告訴我們：“不要為自己在地上囤積財富 …… 要在天上累積財富。”（參看：瑪6:19-20）這些話邀請我們深刻反思：你們的財寶在哪裡？你們的心在哪裡？

我們經常陷入憂慮的螺旋 —— 帳單，貸款，截止日期，對“更多”的無盡追求。我們生活在計算和消費中，我們的工作，不是為了生活，而是為了支付。但是，耶穌提醒我們：你們被造，是為了得到更多。你們被造，不是為了追求事物，而是追求生活在自由和快樂中。

讓我們停下來，問問自己：我的心在哪裡？這是否與我所擁有的一切緊密相聯？我的心是否向真正重要的事物 —— 愛，憐憫，寬恕，美，信德 —— 敞開嗎？要知道，心隨財富。如果天主是你的財富，那麼，你們的內心就會充滿光明。

耶穌也談到了的眼睛：“如果們的眼睛是健全的，你們的全身就會充滿光明。”（參看：瑪6:22）你是如何看待生活的呢？你的眼睛是清澈的嗎？你的視野是開闊的嗎？你慷慨看人嗎？還是被嫉妒，攀比和焦慮所籠罩呢？眼睛是身體的明燈，是光明或黑暗進入的門戶。如果你看得清楚，以謙卑和真理看清一切，那麼，你的生活就會閃閃發光。

讓我們不要把時間浪費在追逐那會生銹和褪色的事物。讓我們通過投資那會永恆的事物“購買永生”，那永恆的事物就是：憐憫，信德，服務，良善和愛。時間是買不回來的。但愛創造了永存的事物。

今天，問問你自己：我的財富在哪裡？我的心在哪裡？讓我們向上主祈求恩典，好使我們能看清楚，遵循真光，而非遵循幻想。

Friday of the Eleventh Week in Ordinary Time
Matthew 6: 19-23
Buy Eternity, Not Illusions

Jesus speaks to us today with clarity and tenderness: “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth… but store up treasures in heaven” (Mt 6:19–20). These words invite us to a deep reflection: Where is your treasure? Where is your heart?

So often we are caught in a whirlwind of worries — bills, loans, deadlines, and the endless pursuit of “more.” We live calculating and spending, working not to live, but merely to pay. But Jesus reminds us: you were made for more. You were not created to chase after things, but to live in freedom and joy.

Let us pause and ask: Where is my heart? Is it chained to what I own? Or is it open to what truly matters — to love, mercy, forgiveness, beauty, faith? You see, the heart follows the treasure. And if your treasure is God, your heart will be full of light.

Jesus also speaks about the eye. “If your eye is sound, your whole body will be full of light” (v. 22). How do you look at life? Is your gaze clean, open, generous? Or is it clouded by envy, comparison, anxiety? The eye is the lamp of the body — it is the window through which light or darkness enters. If you see clearly — with humility, with truth — then your life will shine.

Let us not waste time chasing what rusts and fades. Let us “buy eternity” by investing in what lasts: compassion, faith, service, kindness, and love. Time cannot be bought back. But love builds what lasts forever.

Today, ask yourself: Where is my treasure? Where is my heart? And ask the Lord for the grace to see clearly — to walk in light, not illusion.
